The University of Adelaide has launched its 2009 eChallenge, an entrepreneurial business planning competition that offers $50,000 in prizes.
The eChallenge (Entrepreneurs' Challenge) is open to students from any discipline at any of South Australia’s Universities, TAFE and in the broader community. Teams of between two and six people, including at least one tertiary-enrolled student in South Australia, compete in the eChallenge to develop a business plan for a new, previously unfunded concept.
eChallenge organisers assist team members by providing weekly workshops that offer insights into each stage of the business plan development process. If a team’s idea appears to have commercial potential, the organisers will assign a mentor from the business community to the team.
People interested in taking up the eChallenge are invited to a 90-minute information session at 5.30pm on Tuesday, July 7, at the offices of Piper Alderman, 167 Flinders Street, Adelaide. For catering purposes, please RSVP to echallenge@adelaide.edu.au by 12pm, Friday, July 3.
